Sculpture Croft
Lotte Glob’s internationally acclaimed Sculpture Croft brings together ceramic art, sculpture, environment and landscape in a unique artwork that attracts visitors from all over the world. The sculptures, landscaping, trees, orchard and large variety of planting that Lotte has established is now also home to a rich and diverse range of wildlife, including rare flowers, bees, birds and animals.
Visiting The Croft
The Sculpture Croft is a major attraction in Durness and the wider region, and makes a significant contribution to the local and regional economy. It also contributes to the cultural life of the area through the many community projects that Lotte has been involved in, and which are at the heart of the future commitment of the Sculpture Croft.
The house, which has received many awards including RIAS Best Building in Scotland Award 2004 (public vote winner & runner up), was designed, alongside the studio, by architect Gokay Deveci. “A good Architect is someone who can translate your dreams and make them even better - Gokay did.” - Lotte
