Over a six year period, I journeyed from my workshop near Cape Wrath to 111 lochans around the Scottish Highlands, launching three ceramic stones into each lochan. Each visit was photographed and a journal kept. Some walks were in the height of summer. At other times I was battered by autumn gales or confronted by winter's icy mantle. At one point I was dive-bombed by skuas. All the time I was accompanied by the sounds and sights of the Highlands. Floating Stones selects 33 of the lochan visits. Each is recorded in this beautifully produced, large cloth-bound art book with evocative photographs, journal entries and sketches.
